Prof. Obi. U. Njoku is a renowned Biochemist and Administrator, he has a Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, supervised over 30 masters theses and 10 doctoral theses. Prof. Obi. U. Njoku has more than 115 Journal Articles, 18 Conference Papers and serves as external examiner in more than 13 universities. He has a lot of managerial experiences notable among them are as Head, Department of Biochemistry, Dean, Faculty of Biological Sciences and Chairman Senate Committee on Ceremonies, University of Nigeria. At present, he is the National President, Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Director University of Nigeria Consultancy; Chairman Board of Directors University of Nigeria Consultancy Ltd, and has attracted fund/grant to the University of Nigeria. He has a lot of awards and they include Vice Chancellor’s award for Best Faculty Postgraduate Student, 1993; First Winner, Nigeria Academy of Sciences/Third World Academy of Science Young Scientists Award, 1997; Vice Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Contributions/Selfless Service to the University, and Rotary International Science Award. He is a member of his professional bodies: Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; African Society of Lipid Biochemists; International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, African Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Fellow Institute of Industrial Administration. Prof. Obi. U. Njoku serves as External Assessor for Professorial Appointment in 16 Other Universities. He has had extensive training in fats and oil chemistry, and has consulted for defunct Golden Geni Breweries, Herbaline and many Vegetable Oil Companies in Nigeria.
